The university prepares highly qualified personnel for the needs of the maritime economy, including future officers of the merchant navy, specialists in ship operation, ports, and transportation system management. At UMG, there is the Maritime Local Cisco Academy preparing for obtaining the CCNA certificate. Over the past 10 years, UMG has acquired over 185 million PLN for 163 investment projects related to improving research infrastructure and enhancing the competencies of research teams.
Achievements
Students undergo internships on ships, in well-equipped laboratories, simulators, and they can validate their skills during sea voyages. UMG also operates a Sailing Center.
Direction
UMG offers courses related to the offshore sector, such as the Executive Offshore Wind MBA, specializations in Wind Farm Operations Management, Renewable Energy Management, and others. UMG is also expanding into space and satellite technologies.
