GUT is the second most frequently chosen technical university every year. Thanks to the Excellence Initiative program, four scientific centers were established: Bio TechMed, EkoTech, Digital Technologies and Future Materials. In cooperation with the socio-economic environment, two university-wide, interdisciplinary research and implementation centres were created: Offshore Wind Energy, Hydrogen Technologies and Nuclear Energy.

Achievements

GUT has achieved success in 14 scientific disciplines and is a member of the Fahrenheit Universities Association. There are 104 scientific clubs and student organizations at the university. Every year, hundreds of patents and projects are created, covering areas from innovative solutions for F1 cars to energy generators from sea and ocean waves.

Direction

GUT focuses on numerous international cooperations, research grants and scientific projects. The university has 276 laboratories and a Kraken supercomputer with a power of 13.6 Pflops, one of the fastest in Europe. The GUT complex also includes the TASK Center, providing access to the national and global IT network.
