The aim of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk is to educate highly qualified musicians and music event organizers. The Academy of Music in Gdańsk educates approximately 600 students and is an active member of the Erasmus+ educational program. AMuz partners with the most important centers of higher music education in Europe, including:

  • Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Wien (Austria),
  • Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz (Austria),
  • Staatlichen Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Stuttgart (Germany),
  • Royal Danish Academy of Music (Denmark).

Achievements

AMuz has a significant number of successes of its students not only in European competitions but also in global ones. In 2023, its students received awards, among others, in the International Vivaldi Music Competition, the UK International Music Competition in London, and the Beethoven International Music Competition 2023.

Direction

Thanks to numerous grants and partnerships, AMuz is developing on a large scale – it organizes conferences such as the Meaning of Music, ViolinArt International Forum, expands its instrumentarium, or promotes Polish chamber music through From the Forgotten Pages of Polish Chamber Music.
